HPA issues clean bill of health to DNSBOX
ApplianSys today announced The Health Protection Agency (HPA) will be using DNSBOX to deliver uninterrupted DNS across its national network. HPA is bringing DNS in-house to ensure it has greater DNS security.
“HPA are aware that DNS and DHCP availability are fundamental to their disaster recovery plans, so bringing them in-house is high on their priority list,” comments Mike Clark, CEO of ApplianSys. “They want a rock-solid solution deployed across two data centres – a primary site and a DR site. DNSBOX gives them exactly this. When the HPA realised how cost effective the whole solution is, it became one of the easiest decisions they have had to make. Of course, ApplianSys is delighted to be selected by such a high-profile customer, where security and robustness are clearly at a premium.”
The Health Protection Agency’s (www.hpa.org.uk) role is to provide an integrated approach to protecting UK public health through the provision of support and advice to the NHS (National Health Service), local authorities, emergency services, other Arms Length Bodies, the Department of Health and the Devolved Administrations. The Agency was established as a special health authority (SpHA) in 2003. The HPA has a large network of approximately 3000 staff based at three major centres (Colindale, Porton and Chilton) and regionally and locally throughout England.
