DNSBOX makes flying start to British GP
ApplianSys is delighted to announce that a lightning fast DNSBOX sale guaranteed public Wi-Fi availability at Silverstone Racetrack for the 2023 F1 British Grand Prix, with half a million visitors.
Leading event connectivity provider MyComms approached ApplianSys with an urgent problem. It had upgraded the internet link at Silverstone Racetrack to provide a high-speed public Wi-Fi network at the upcoming Formula 1 British Grand Prix, but the circuit’s existing DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) service was now a bottleneck on capacity.
MyComms had just a few days to find a high performance, high availability DHCP solution that could be easily deployed on their network. Having used ApplianSys products in the past and aware of the company’s expertise and dedicated customer support, Mycomms reached out to ApplianSys for help.
ApplianSys delivered: MyComms first contacted the sales team on Friday afternoon but Sales, Manufacturing and Tech Support all leapt into action to meet the urgency. Two DNSBOXes were specified, ordered, custom built and delivered to site on Monday, ready to be deployed as a high availability pair.
The ApplianSys tech team worked with MyComms to design a process for rapid deployment in their network and determine the pre-config required to make that happen. Once on site, MyComm’s network team quickly finalised configuration through the DNSBOX user interface, with the backup of ApplianSys’ engineers on the phone to answer any last-minute questions.
“MyComm’s deployment is a great example of how our entire team are focused on making network managers’ lives easier, and delivering world class customer service,” explains Chris Newman, DNSBOX Consultant.
“From a straightforward sales process to expert technical support every step of the way, MyComms had complete confidence that we would deliver the solution they needed in race-winning time”.
