South Staffordshire College consolidates DNS
ApplianSys today announced that South Staffordshire College, a leading UK college, has chosen DNSBOX400 to help it bring together DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (DDI).
Following the merger of three local colleges, the network team at the newly formed Staffordshire College wanted to standardise DDI across four separate campuses.
“Managing a large IP space can be a headache for many organisations,” says Magdalena Jovanovic, DNSBOX Product Manager. “But, when it’s distributed across multiple locations, and with each site administrator doing it differently, it can quickly become a nightmare.”
The DNSBOX400 solution simplifies DDI by automatically synchronizing DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management. It also lets senior administrators delegate tasks and the management of parts of the network to other users in a secure and controlled way.
South Staffordshire College (www.southstaffs.ac.uk) was created to be more flexible and responsive in meeting the needs of both learners and employers in South Staffordshire. The college has nearly 20,000 students and a dedicated team of over 1400 staff.
