DNSBOX cleared for Philippines take-off
ApplianSys is pleased to announce that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has purchased a fleet of DNSBOXes to ensure the secure and efficient operation of DNS and DHCP services at multiple sites across the country.
CAAP manages airports and air traffic control systems nationwide and relies on a stable and secure network to handle real-time communications and data flow between multiple locations.
PLDT, the Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco company – in collaboration with ApplianSys’ distribution partner Netplay – has chosen to deploy DNSBOX across 15 sites as part of a new infrastructure project for CAAP.
DNSBOX200 slave units will provide local high-performance DNS and DHCP services, with a DNSBOX300 master unit providing a central management capability.
Aviation authorities, including CAAP, are frequently targeted by cyberattacks, particularly on their DNS infrastructure, which increases the risk of service disruptions and data breaches. Reliable DNS and DHCP services are therefore essential for ensuring network stability and efficiency.
DNSBOX’s built-in protection against DNS attacks, like DNS cache poisoning, together with support for DNSSEC to ensure authentic data, make it a highly secure and robust solution, ideal for safeguarding critical infrastructure like CAAP’s network.
As CAAP continues to upgrade and expand its facilities and systems, the DNSBOX scalable network infrastructure will allow it to support growth without compromising network performance.
