CACHEBOX steppes up
ApplianSys announced today that Kewiko LLC, the largest wifi provider in Mongolia, has bought a CACHEBOX230 solution to control international bandwidth costs whilst providing faster internet services to its customers.
Kewiko LLC serves around 2500 concurrent users during peak times, over a 300Mbps fibre optic link. As its customer base grew, the company faced rising bandwidth costs because of increasing use of international web pages and bandwidth-intensive social networking sites. On top of this, high network traffic during peak hours was causing slow browsing speeds for its customers.
According to CACHEBOX Sales Executive Vasco Figueiredo, CACHEBOX was an obvious choice: “The amount of international bandwidth in Mongolia has increased dramatically due to the popularity of social networking services such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.”
“With CACHEBOX230, Kewiko can expect to smooth out peak traffic times by caching the most popular sites, lowering international bandwidth costs and optimising existing bandwidth. And most importantly, its customers get faster browsing.”
Kewiko LLC (www.kewiko.mn) was established in September 2010 and serves customers with high speed internet connection through wireless network (Wi-Fi). The company has full coverage within Ulaanbaatar and is the leading IT services company for supplying new technology, services and information solutions that contribute to Mongolia’s technological development.
