Margarita extra bandwidth on ice
ApplianSys announced today that Unicable Nueva Esparta, a growing ISP in Venezuela, has bought CACHEBOX to improve services for its expanding customer base.
Unicable provides telecommunication services to 1500 customers over a 30 Mbps connection. It wants to expand this customer base to 4000 over a 150Mbps connection. One of the main issues it faces is the limited bandwidth being supplied by its own service provider. In order to overcome this problem it has selected CACHEBOX210 to optimise bandwidth and provide faster services to its customers.
CACHEBOX Head of Sales Roger Clark comments, “Besides a need to optimise bandwidth, Unicable also wanted a caching solution that could enable IP spoofing. This avoids problems with web servers that would limit the number of connections from a single address. CACHEBOX210 has enabled it to fit both these requirements affordably.”
Unicable Nueva Esparta (www.unicablemargarita.com) is an ISP based in Margarita Island, Venezuela. The company provides telecommunication services specialising in television broadcast services, point-to-point connectivity and voice and data carrier services.
