CACHEBOX keeps EMS show on the road

ApplianSys announced today that Vienna-based EMS Entertainment has purchased a CACHEBOX to support streaming video services at its interactive exhibitions.

Attracting millions of visitors each year, EMS create immersive exhibitions at museums, theme parks and shopping malls around the world. Interactive mobile applications help to bring their shows to life with video content streamed from their servers in Austria. EMS was not confident that they could always rely on the bandwidth provided by each venue.

To overcome this problem, EMS investigated the option of hosting content locally but learnt that they would need to modify the address links in their app for each venue. The IT expenditure needed for each show made local storage unfeasible, until it discovered CACHEBOX.

A CACHEBOX100 is now used for one of their traveling exhibitions to deliver content faster and more reliably. EMS has gained the benefit of local content storage without the headache of changing their app for each show.
