DNSBOX re-Boots
ApplianSys announced today that Boots Group, the UK’s largest pharmaceutical chain, has refreshed its DNSBOX solution, to keep managing mission-critical DNS services.
Six years ago, Boots Group bought a DNSBOX300 master, a DNSBOX300 failover unit and four dedicated DNSBOX100 slaves for enhanced redundancy. Now, as the units have reached EoL, the company has refreshed its hardware and decided to continue using the solution to do authoritative DNS.
“Boots has found its DNSBOX solution to be very reliable and is happy with it. For many large scale corporations like itself, DNS is a vital network service – which makes reliability a critical factor. Through its best practice master-slave architecture, DNSBOX has enabled Boots to handle authoritative DNS securely and easily,” says DNSBOX Sales Manager, Magdalena Jovanovic.
Boots UK Limited (www.boots-plc.com) (formerly known as Boots the Chemists) was founded in 1849 and is the UK’s leading pharmacy chain with about 2,500 stores in Britain and Ireland.
