ApplianSys is pleased to announce that it has been invited to join global giants such as Intel, Dell Technologies and Amazon Web services as Lead Partner in the N50 Project, an international initiative to support and fund connectivity projects around the world.Since first joining the project in June 2023, ApplianSys’s caching technology and unique insight on national internet rollouts have accelerated existing projects, especially in rural and hard-to-reach locations where connectivity is limited.

In October 2023 ApplianSys solutions were unveiled as a key components of the Edulabs programme, the culmination of ground-breaking public-private partnership between the Dominican Republic Ministry of Education, N50 partners and international humanitarian organization Food For The Hungry. The project will improve digital literacy and access to technology for 23,000 families in 80 communities, with robust internet connectivity underpinned by ApplianSys’s EDUGATEBOX.

Now, as a result of its impact on the programme, ApplianSys has been promoted to Lead Partner in the project.  ApplianSys will continue to use its expertise in safeguarding large-scale internet rollouts to help meet the N50 Project’s goals, further enabling digital participation on a national scale.

“We are excited to contributeto such a transformative initiative that aligns so closely with our core mission,” said Roger Clark, Director of Education Technologies at Appliansys. “We are already fixing the connectivity problem within national education systems: working with colleagues from N50’s 200 partner organisations we have the scope to make a critical impact on a global scale. Of course we are proud that the impact of what we bring to the party has been recognised in this way by our partner organisations.”
