AlanDick delegates DNS management
ApplianSys today announced AlanDick is replacing its existing DNS solution with the easy to use DNSBOX server appliance. It needed a solution that allowed DNS zone administration to be securely delegated amongst the IT infrastructure team.
“AlanDick had a simple requirement which could not justify the cost of some DNS appliance solutions” says Mike Clark, CEO of ApplianSys. “They had previously tried solving this by installing a software package on a Linux box built in-house, but found that they actually needed some of the functionality of more advanced solutions, better reliability and less headaches maintaining their DNS service. With DNSBOX, ApplianSys can meet a wide range of needs and budgets, because of the model options we offer, and because as a company, we explicitly discourage overselling. We help customers select products and architectures which are fit for purpose and explain the pros and cons of any compromises dictated by budget. While we might make less profit on a given deal, we believe we will make more money in the long run, because of the relationships we build with those customers and the reputation we build in the marketplace.”
